Federico Molinari and Nekes founded the label OSLO Records in 2007.
Always on the lookout for new talented producers the OSLO
family grew larger and surprised their audience again and again
with new interpretations of modern dance music. After 3
exciting years the label is publishing its first compilation on 24th
March 2010 consisting of 4 vinyl, where all OSLO artists present
their work.
The OSLO compilation presents tracks from Christian Burkhardt,
Damián Schwartz, Einzelkind & Dorian Paic, Federico Molinari,
Guillaume & the Coutu Dumonts, Johnny D., Miss Fitz, Massimo
Di Lena, Minimono, Nekes, Ray Okpara, Sascha Dive, Vera & DJ W!LD.
Also for the first time the OSLO artists go on tour across the
globe within the months April, May and June to present the
publications of their first compilation as DJs and Live Acts.
We invite everybody sincerely to be a part of this tour and

minimal maestro from Naples will be compiling and mixing the new Time Warp
Compilation CD, available in the shops on 3 April. To mark the 15th anniversary
of Time Warp, Carola’s skills and selection on this double-CD wonderfully
capture the spirit of this unique event. With the latest Time Warp CD, Marco
Carola will be joining a highly renowned legion of DJs and producers who in
previous years have lent their skills to the Time Warp series of compilations –
each with their very own signature style of music and mixing. Like Time Warp
Mannheim, the CD compilations have become famous for pushing the envelope of
electronic dance music. Their trademark excellence: Highly unique and
knowledgeable tracklistings put together by top-class DJs who lend the CDs their
excellent mixing skills. Loco Dice, Tiefschwarz, DJ Hell and Adam Beyer are only
some of the distinguished turntable talents who have put needle to record on
previous Time Warp Mix CDs. And now: Marco Carola. Born in Naples, 1975,
Carola’s career has soared from strength to strength in the past decade, making
him one of Europe’s most highly sought DJs. No club worth its salt would dare
give its crowd what it wants: a delicious dose of Carola. Not only has the don
of the decks worked with luminaries such as Gaetano Parisio, Davide Squillace
and Random Noize. In his years of fascinating party-goers and clubheads with his
decidedly idiosyncratic slant on electronica – evolved from Italo house and
purist techno – he has amassed an enviable repertoire of styles and sounds. On
his labels Zenit or 2M ( daughter label of Richie Hawtins Minus), Carola has
given Italian electronic music a lifeline, releasing nothing but the freshest
slices of minimal madness. For the 15th anniversary Time Warp CD, Marco Carola
has compiled a selection of tunes that can only be described as an exploration
of where electronic music has come from, stands today and where it is headed.
Featuring tunes by Josh Wink and Jamy Wing, Johnny D and Ray Okpara, Paco Osuna
and Slutbox the double-CD honours the dedication of longstanding producers,
technicians from Mannheim and innovations by a newer brand of melody maker. On
tracks like Super Flu’s “Lyla Sucks Lemon” and Ray Okpara’s “Loving Moonbuah (Nekes
remix)”, the Italian imparts the same sort of hypnotic thump that makes Time
Warp the esctatic event it is. Ray Okpara’s “Loving Moonbuah (Nekes Remix)” and
Masomenos “On Fait La Java” serve up a distinctly tribal undertone to the
minimal mix, while Minicoolboyz’ “The Melody”, Broombeck’s “Mono Turn” and Uto
Karem’s “Trentatre” serve up a weird wonderland of enigmatic and sophisticated
sounds all Time Warp aficionados will thoroughly enjoy reliving at home and on

Neonazi lässt sich „Hardcore“ als Marke schützen:

Der bekannte Neonazi ..Timo Schubert hat sich „Hardcore“ als Wortmarke schützen lassen. Sollte das durchkommen, kann er in Zukunft so ziemlich jedes Hardcore-Label, jede Band und jeden linken Versand verklagen.
Das wäre für die Szene eine Katastrophe.
Niklas Kühn* traute seinen Augen nicht. Vor wenigen Tagen erhielt der Betreiber eines Onlineshops von einer seiner Lieferfirmen eine Mail mit dem Hinweis, dass einer seiner Artikel mit dem Schriftzug Hardcore "mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit gegen gewerbliche Schutzrechte oder Persönlichkeitsrechte Dritter" verstoße. Sollte das Shirt nicht verschwinden, könnten ihm "erhebliche Abmahnkosten" ab 1.000 Euro aufwärts drohen, hieß es in dem Schreiben. Kühn ging der Sache nach. Über das Deutsche Markenregister ermittelte er den Namen, auf den dieser Begriff seit Januar 2009 eingetragen ist: Timo Schubert. Kühn war entsetzt: "Als ich im Internet gelesen habe, dass der Typ ein knallharter Nazi ist, bin ich fast vom Stuhl gefallen."
Hardcore-Musik hat ihren Ursprung eigentlich in der linken Szene. Sie entstand Ende der 1970er-Jahre in den USA als schnelle und brachiale Weiterentwicklung von Punkrock und hatte eine eindeutig antirassistische Ausrichtung. Kultbands wie Minor Threat oder Black Flag haben bis heute ganze Generationen von Punk- und Hardcore-Bands geprägt. Seit ein paar Jahren gibt es jedoch auch Neonazi-Bands, die diese Musik spielen, hinterlegt mit rassistischen und antisemitischen Hasstexten.
Auch Schubert hat die Hardcore-Musik aufgegriffen. Er ist Schlagzeuger der Rechtsrock-Band "Agitator" und nebenher Betreiber eines rechtsextremen Versandhauses. Auf seiner Webseite verkauft er neben T-Shirts seiner Band alles, was das nationale Herz begehrt. Von Kleidung der rechten Marke Erik & Sons über Sturmhauben bis hin zu Teleskopschlagstöcken und Tränengas.
"Mit der Markeneintragung wollen Neonazis ihren Versuch fortsetzen, linke Jugendkultur zu vereinnahmen", glaubt Toni Peters vom Antifaschistischen Pressearchiv und Bildungszentrum. Gleichzeitig gehe es aber auch um ein rein kommerzielles Interesse. "Die wollen nicht mehr nur mit Rechtsrock Geld verdienen, sondern auch in der nichtrechten Musikszene kräftig abkassieren."
Die linke Hardcore-Gemeinde setzt sich zur Wehr. "Ich war überrascht, mit welchen Mitteln Neonazis inzwischen versuchen, die linke Musikszene zu schädigen", sagte Joachim Hiller, Chef des Punk- und Hardcore-Magazins Ox. Hiller hat inzwischen Kontakt zu Plattenfirmen, Konzertagenturen und Bands aufgenommen, um gegen die Markeneintragung zu klagen.
Dass versucht wird, einen ganzen Musikstil urheberrechtlich zu schützen, sei nicht ungewöhnlich, sagt Anwalt Michael Plüschke, der auf Markenrecht spezialisiert ist. Jetzt gebe es für die Betroffenen nur zwei Möglichkeiten: Entweder man beantrage die Löschung des Begriffs im Markenregister und hofft auf den guten Willen der Behörde, ein "absolutes Schutzhindernis" für den Begriff geltend zu machen. Oder es findet sich jemand, der Widerspruch einlegt und beweisen kann, dass er schon lange vor Schubert T-Shirts mit Aufdruck "Hardcore" verkauft hat.
Das muss allerdings zügig geschehen. Bereits in wenigen Wochen läuft die Widerspruchsfrist für die Markeneintragung ab. Wird sie nicht eingehalten, könnte das Wort "Hardcore" erst mal ganz offiziell der Naziszene gehören.

Das Jahr 2009 beginnt mit einer neuen Mix CD auf Killaz. Torsten Kanzler oder auch „Der Kanzler“, wie er von vielen Anhängern oft genannt wird, ist in der Hardtechno-Szene längst kein unbeschriebenes Blatt mehr. Seine abwechslungsreichen Sets sind weit über die Europäischen Grenzen beliebt. Auf „Hardtechno Mix Session“ beweist er wieder einmal seine Vorliebe für die vielen Facetten der härteren Gangart elektronischer Musik. Immer nach vorn preschend, dabei nie den Groove verlierend und keine Sekunde langweilig, das verspricht der Mix auf dieser CD. Klar, dass da Namen wie Sven Wittekind, Brachiale Musikgestalter, 3Headzahead sowie Noise Provider oder Kaoz nicht fehlen.

The year 2009 starts with a new Mix CD on Killaz. Torsten Kanzler or “Der Kanzler” how fans often call him is meanwhile well known in the hardtechno scene and favoured for his varied dj-sets all over the world. On “Hardtechno Mix Session” Torsten shows his preference in many facets of hard electronic music again, true to his motto “pushing forward with groove”. Clearly that names like Sven Wittekind, Brachiale Musikgestalter, 3Headzahead, Noise Provider or Kaoz may not be missing.
